Modern Day Vaudevillian

David Kovac

The nine million visitors who flock to Chicago’s Navy Pier each year might catch David Kovac’s variety show, Amusing Grace, which features a 50-foot rope routine, a deck of Karate-chopped cards, and a mental miracle with a newspaper that one spectator described as simply very impossible!

Following an exciting two-year run at the former Noble Fool Cabaret, David began appearing in other notable venues around town including Davenport’s, The i.O. Theatre, The Green Mill and Second City. He was selected by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs to perform in the historic opening celebration of Millennium Park and was requested by the Office of Mayor Richard M. Daley to entertain for the 73rd Annual U.S. Conference of Mayors. What’s a modern-day vaudevillian do? Fancy juggling, fantastic magic, and sophisticated comedy. David is a graduate of The Theatre School of DePaul University, and if you recognize him from television or radio, that's because his day job is being a professional actor (the greatest trick of all!).
